The Institute of Bible & Ministry is a continuing theological programme for the pastors and evangelists of the Africa Inland Church Tanzania (AICT).  It was conceived back in the mid-1990’s by a number of AIM missionaries who were concerned for the on-going theological development of pastors after they had left Bible College.

Each year the Institute runs Bible teaching seminars for pastors and evangelists and their wives in various parts of the Coastal Diocese of the AICT.  Steve is one of the Bible teachers and involved with planning each year’s conferences.  Ruth handles much of the administration of the courses and the finance.

In addition, courses are held at the Institute’s base near Morogoro – Sanga Sanga Retreat Centre.  Here a 13 acre site is being developed to include a retreat house, conference hall, accommodation blocks, restaurant, farm and campsite.  The centre will provide a strategic platform to encourage, mobilise and inspire the pastors in order to benefit their communities with the agricultural, enterprise, pastoral and life skills they have learnt at Sanga Sanga.
